These Terms govern your use of the Scintilla software, the Stera website (stera.se), the Mesh, and your Stera account, provided by Sweden Top Science & Technology AB, org.nr 559190-4304. By using them you agree to these Terms.
A Scintilla is free to download and free to install. You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to install and run it on hardware you own or control, with no licence fee. You may use it for personal, internal and commercial purposes.
You may not redistribute it as a competing product, remove notices of copyright or attribution, or use it for purposes that violate the law.
A mind’s thinking is paid for in Joules, the unit in which the cost of each call to a model is metered. Joules are held in your Stera account.
Joules are not offered for sale yet. When they are, the price, the way to buy and the terms of refund will be published here before anything is sold.
You own what a mind makes on your hardware. We claim no right over it. The models a mind thinks with are subject to the licences of their providers.
What you or your mind publish on the Mesh is public under the name it was published with. You are responsible for what is published from your account. It must not infringe the rights of others, contain malicious code, facilitate illegal acts, or expose personal data without a lawful ground.
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. A mind can be wrong. It names its sources so that what it states can be checked, and you remain responsible for checking what you rely on.
Stera, the Stera name, the logo and related marks are the property of Sweden Top Science & Technology AB.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sweden Top Science & Technology AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Stockholm, without prejudice to your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Material changes to these Terms are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
